MEGA SPORTS CAMP!!

We are in the planning and organizing stages of Mega Sports Camp! What is Mega Sports Camp? Well, it is only the best week long camp for the summer!! Starting July 19th and ending July 23rd from 9am to noon we will have cheerleading, soccer, baseball, and basketball training and games. Register for which classes you want to be a part of. Registration is $40 and includes, t-shirt, sports water bottle, prizes and daily snacks.

Pizza Party

We are closing in on our last Wednesday night before our Summer break. We thought a fun way to end the school year would be a Pizza Party. We are going to bring snacks, drinks and are asking the kids to bring $2 to go towards the purchase of pizza. We are going to play games and have activities set up for great celebration of our Kidz Point Wednesday night school year!!

Mother’s Day

Last Sunday was Mother’s Day, and it was amazing. We had the opportunity to go up and sing and dance and Worship Jesus in front of the entire church. It was amazing. All of the kidz loved it and had a ton of fun!! We will have to plan another one again!!

Kidz Point every Wednesday and Sunday!!

Mallory, Mattea and I have been trying to think of a catchy name for our Kids ministry. Mallory thought of Kidz Point, and we agreed this was it. We are currently working on a logo (anyone who is good with art work let us know). We are super excited to have a new group name that fits with our leadership team, and our kids!! Don’t forget Mother’s day May 9th we will be giving our first, hopefully not our last, concert in front of everyone at church!! Please invite your friends and family to the best show ever!!

Easter Sunday!!

Easter Sunday was the most amazing Sunday by far!! We went outside for a skit on the resurrection, and a Resurrection Egg hunt. I think the kids had fun and they all learned what Easter is all about!! Tonight is Kids group and I am excited!! Get you elementary kids to Savannah Elementary tonight!!

380 Youth Sports

FYI:

Our friends at 380 Youth Sports are currently registerring for teeball and blast ball right now though 4/15/10. More information is available at www.380sports.org.  They will be starting play after soccer ends in May and going until July.

Spring Break

We missed all the kiddos last night. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Spring Break. We are getting close to finishing up our Robotica series, only 2 weeks left. We also have started to finalize our set list for our Mother’s Day concert. We are so excited to bring our Worship time and share it with everyone. We practiced a couple different songs on Sunday with the volume low and the kids did great!! It is so amazing to see their faces every week!! See you on Sunday!!

Welcome to Kidz Blog!!

We are so excited to have this new place to share all of our wonderful moments in our meetings with the kids. Since this is our first post I will let you know what’s been happening on Wednesday nights and Sunday Mornings with the kids.

At the beginning of the year Mallory, Tea and I (Carrie) took over as leaders in Children Ministry. It has been such a blessing to work with these children.  Our first lesson as a team was a 4 week series on Jonah. Then we moved to an 8 week series called Robotica. This series about learning how to live for Christ. About daily devotions, telling others about Christ, reading your bible, learning what worship is all about, and much more. They will be learning how to do all of this by example of a newly manufactured robot, called Robotica. Robotica is new to this world, and she is learning everything from scratch. With her daily Manuel (bible), and her frequent discussions with her creator (God), the children will be able to watch Robotica grow spiritually closer to God. This  series will show the children how to be young followers of Christ.

On Wednesday’s we have been doing a longer 28 week series that goes through Jesus life on Earth and the early Church. This takes the kids on a four-year journey through the Bible. The stories come alive through hands-on projects, crazy games, and make-it-yourself snacks all in a small group environment. These will help us grow closer to God through personal application of His Word.
