What We Believe

At Lifepoint Church we believe in God the father, revealed through His son Jesus Christ who Himself gave His life on the cross for our sins and is our only reconciliation to God. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is given to us upon our confession of faith in Jesus. The Holy Spirit leads, guides, comforts and empowers us for our journey of faith and to be a witness to our world. We believe the word of God (the Bible) is infallible and the source of truth for faith and life. We believe the church is part of God’s design to encourage and support believers while corporately glorifying God through various forms of worship and service.

Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven:
There is only one God, and He exists as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, lived on the earth, died on a cross and rose from the dead. Jesus is the only hope for reconciliation between God and man. (John 3:16, John 14:6, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-10)

The Bible Is The Truth To Live By:
The Bible is God’s Word and is the source of truth, standards and guidelines for living for all mankind. (Hebrews 4:12; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21)

The Holy Spirit Empowers & Gifts Believers:
The Holy Spirit is active in the church and in the lives of mankind today. The baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to bring power and encouragement to every believer. (John 7:37-39, John 16:5-14, Acts 2:1-13, I Corinthians 12:4-11)

Jesus Christ Will Return:
Jesus Christ will return to take to heaven all who believe in Him before the end of time occurs. (Matthew 24:30, 31; I Thessalonians 4:15-18; I Corinthians 15:52-55)
